2018 the 3rd place, Crafting, the 36th Tao Yuan Art Exhibition. 

楊定曄《緣竹求娛》 Ding-Ye Yang "Finding Joy by Bamboo"

刨製六條誤差小於0.05mm之「正三角竹條」併合竿身，以蠶絲線纏繞製作變塗，肖楠木車製握把，再將全體以生漆塗佈，令技法凸顯各材質：使釣竿不只是釣竿，釣魚也不只是漁獲，而是提升人文素養及心靈富足的運動。

Planning 6 strips of bamboo in triangular pyramid shape then binding them together ads the rod blank, wrapping with silk thread on the ferrules then making Kawari-nuri on them, grip part are made by flor grade cork and the reel seats are made by Taiwanese cedar wood burl, last doing the Fuki-urushi technqiue on whole of the blank, as the coating finished, the shine start glowing, at this moment the angler who hold it would comprehend that fishing is always not just a hunt, but a sport that create a culture, and a mind with abundance.
